On May 31, the City of Broken Arrow hosted an open house at the Nazarene Church to discuss redevelopment ideas for the intersection at New Orleans (101st) Street and Elm Place.

Last year, the Broken Arrow City Council approved an economic development feasibility study for the New Orleans and Elm Place shopping area. This step was taken in response to citizen concerns about the imbalance of retail stores and restaurants in different parts of the City. Catalyst Commercial was hired to analyze market trends and present solutions for a private-public partnership to revitalize the area.
