Broken Arrow Police Spreading Holiday Cheer

BAPD has been spreading holiday cheer.

They began with Cops and Kids, which involved officers taking children Christmas shopping. Special thanks to Officer Paul Hughes, BA FOP, BA Citizen Police Academy Alumni Association, and Walmart for making this event possible.

BAPD also hosted a toy drive in honor of Officer Gene Orr, which collected hundreds of toys for the Church of Battle Creek, where the Orr family attends. More toys were donated after the deadline, and those were given to Broken Arrow Neighbors. Special thanks to Captain Cooper for coordinating this project.

Wolfman continued his yearly tradition of donating 14 bicycles to give away to local kids. Over the past 17 years, Wolfman has donated over 350 bicycles. The Optimist Club of Broken Arrow has always donated helmets to go along with the bikes. This year, the Optimist Club also donated 88 bikes, along with helmet. Special thanks to Lisa Ford of the Crime Prevention Unit for coordinating this project.

Computers were also given away through BAPD’s 17-year partnership with Tulsa PC Power. That was also coordinated through the Crime Prevention Unit Lisa Ford and SRO Scott Oelke

BAPD, thanks for all you do!
