We’ve Got Your Broken Arrow Date Ideas!

couple date night

Several months ago, my husband and I decided it was time to make Date Night a priority. We go out, just the two of us, once a week. We take turns planning what we’re going to do. We try really hard to be cheap (Groupon is awesome) and we try to do things that we’ve never done before, or eat new places. This summer, we’ve been to SkyZone, Juneteenth, a Caribbean restaurant in Claremore, and the Admiral Twin, just to name a few. Well, we’ve got some date night ideas that you can do right here in Broken Arrow!

Bring out your inner artist (or pretend to) with a fun date night at one of the Rose District’s paint and sip studios, The Painted Lyon or Pinot’s Palette. You can have wine to help you paint better, or to use as excuse for your lack of skills. Ha.  You know what goes great with painting and is conveniently located near both paint studios? In the Raw – Broken Arrow! Sushi makes every date great!

Looking for something a little more extreme? Check out the go-kart track at Xtreme Racing & Entertainment! Then you can stop off across the street and enjoy a burger from Fat Guys.
If you’re in the mood for some culture, the Broken Arrow PAC or Broken Arrow Community Playhouse both offer terrific live entertainment. Opera glasses not required.
Dinner in the Rose District is always a solid choice. There are plenty of options, like Andolini’s or The Rooftop for pizza, Main Street Tavern for upscale American pub fare, or Franklin’s Pork & Barrel for a menu with a Southwestern sizzle.
Feeling sporty? How about hitting some golf balls? If you’re unsure, lessons and golf classes are available at BA Family Golf.
Do you love watching Dancing with the Stars? You and your partner can learn to dance just like Julianne Hough at Ballroom Revolution. You can even take your first private lesson for free!
Maybe you’re not in the mood to hit the town in a big way, but still want to get out of the house. Grab a cup of coffee or a cool drink and do some stargazing with the BA Sidewalk Astronomer group.
Since everyone has a smartphone or tablet of some kind, the art of the printed page has fallen to the wayside. Taking an afternoon and hitting the bookstore can be nice, and it’s even better if you can grab a bite to eat while doing so. You may not know that McHuston Booksellers also offers a nice, affordable Irish bistro.
With new running stores in the area, the sport has become even more popular. It’s a fun activity to do solo or with a friend (or a date)! There are plenty of 5k races in the area. Find out when and where at Fleet Feet or BA Runner!
Got any great date ideas to share for your fellow Broken Arrow friends? Let us know!
